Huggletee.com operates as an online multi-vendor marketplace based in Sri Lanka. Our platform facilitates connections between independent third-party vendors (“Vendors”) and customers (“Users”) who wish to browse, discover, and purchase our smart temperature water bottles. These products may be sourced locally within Sri Lanka or imported from international suppliers.

Our Role: Huggletee acts solely as an intermediary and a platform provider. We are not the seller of record for the products listed by Vendors, nor are we directly involved in the manufacture, storage, or direct delivery of these products (unless explicitly stated for specific Huggletee-branded items, if applicable). We provide the technology, payment processing facilitation, and customer support channels to enable seamless transactions between Users and Vendors.

2. Eligibility and User Affirmation

By accessing or using Huggletee.com, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age or have reached the age of majority in Sri Lanka, and are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
  • If you are under 18 years of age, you are using the Site with the express consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
  • You possess the legal authority and capacity to agree to these Terms and to use the Site in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations in Sri Lanka.
  • The service is intended for users located within Sri Lanka. Access from other regions is not guaranteed and may be restricted.

3. Account Registration and Security

While certain browsing functionalities are available without an account, creating an account offers a more personalized shopping experience, including order tracking, wishlists, and faster checkout.

4. Product Listings, Descriptions, and Pricing

Huggletee strives to provide accurate product information. However, due to the multi-vendor nature of our platform:

  • Vendor Responsibility: All product details, including titles, descriptions, images, specifications, and prices, are provided and managed by individual Vendors. While Huggletee makes reasonable efforts to verify information, we cannot guarantee that all product information is 100% error-free, complete, or current.
  • Product Variations: Minor differences in product appearance, including but not limited to color, size, texture, material finishes, or packaging, may occur compared to the images displayed on the Site due to factors such as lighting, screen settings, photographic limitations, and manufacturing variations.
  • Pricing: All prices are displayed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). Prices are subject to change by the Vendor without prior notice. Huggletee reserves the right to correct any pricing errors, even after an order has been placed. In such cases, we will notify you and offer the option to proceed with the correct price or cancel your order.
  • Product Availability: Product availability is subject to change. We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or update product listings at any time without prior notice.

5. Placing Orders and Order Acceptance

When you place an order on Huggletee.com, you are making an offer to purchase the product(s) from the respective Vendor(s).

  • Order Confirmation: Upon placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your offer. This email serves as an acknowledgement of your order and its details but does not constitute acceptance of your order or a guarantee of product availability.
  • Order Acceptance: Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract for sale occur only when the Vendor confirms dispatch of the product(s).
  • Order Cancellation/Delay: Huggletee and/or the respective Vendor(s) reserve the right to cancel, refuse, or delay your order at any time for reasons including, but not limited to:
    • Product being out-of-stock or unavailable.
    • Problems with payment verification or authorization.
    • Errors in pricing or product description.
    • Suspicion of fraudulent activity or breach of these Terms.
    • Incomplete or inaccurate shipping/contact details provided by you.
    • Unforeseen circumstances or force majeure events.
  • User Responsibility: It is your sole responsibility to ensure that all contact, billing, and shipping details provided during the order process are accurate and complete. Huggletee is not responsible for delays or non-delivery due to incorrect information provided by you.

6. Payment Options

Huggletee offers various payment options to facilitate your purchases:

  • Accepted Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), bank transfers, and Cash on Delivery (COD) where applicable.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD): COD is strictly available only for products sourced locally within Sri Lanka. This option is not available for overseas products due to international payment regulations and shipping complexities.
  • Prepayment for Overseas Products: All products imported from overseas require full prepayment before dispatch. This is necessary to cover international handling, customs, and shipping regulations.
  • Payment Security: All payment transactions are processed through secure, third-party payment gateways. Huggletee does not store your full payment card details.
  • Payment Processing: Payments may take some time to clear, and orders will only be processed once payment confirmation is received. You may be subject to additional fees or charges imposed by your bank or payment provider.

7. Shipping & Delivery

We strive to ensure timely processing and dispatch of your orders.

  • Estimated Delivery Timelines:
    • Local Sri Lankan Products: Typically delivered within 3–7 business days from the date of order confirmation.
    • Overseas Products: Due to international logistics and customs procedures, delivery may take 10–30 business days from the date of order confirmation.
  • Separate Deliveries: If your order contains multiple items sourced from different Vendors or locations (local vs. overseas), they may be dispatched and arrive separately.
  • Delivery Address: You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. We are not liable for any delays or non-delivery resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information.
  • Receipt of Goods: It is your responsibility to ensure that someone is available to receive the delivery at the provided address.
  • Delays: While we aim for prompt delivery, actual delivery times may vary due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to: national holidays, extreme weather conditions, customs clearance delays, logistical issues, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

    • Damaged: The product incurred significant damage during shipping.

9. Vendor Responsibilities and Huggletee’s Oversight

Each Vendor operating on Huggletee.com is bound by a separate Vendor Agreement and is primarily responsible for:

  • Accurate Listings: Ensuring all product listings, descriptions, images, and pricing are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with all applicable laws.
  • Order Fulfillment: Promptly processing and fulfilling orders in a timely and efficient manner, including packaging and dispatch.
  • Product Quality: Maintaining high standards of quality for their products.
  • Customer Service: Managing customer queries, issues, and returns directly related to their products.
  • Legal Compliance: Adhering to all relevant Sri Lankan laws and regulations, including consumer protection laws, health and safety standards, and e-commerce guidelines.

Huggletee’s Role: While Huggletee facilitates these transactions, we are not directly liable for the actions, omissions, products, or services of our Vendors. However, we actively monitor Vendor performance and compliance to ensure a consistent level of quality and trust on our platform. In cases of persistent issues or breaches of terms by a Vendor, Huggletee reserves the right to intervene, mediate disputes, or take corrective action, including temporary suspension or permanent removal of the Vendor from the platform.

10. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality available on Huggletee.com, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, video clips, data compilations, software, and the compilation thereof, as well as the underlying technology, are the exclusive property of Huggletee, its Vendors, its licensors, or other content providers, and are protected by Sri Lankan and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

  • Limited License: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for your personal, non-commercial shopping purposes only.
  • Restrictions: You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, or otherwise exploit any content from the Site without the express prior written permission of Huggletee or the respective copyright owner.   • Exclusion of Damages: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Huggletee, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, Vendors, and licensors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

    • Any product defects or issues arising from products supplied by Vendors.
  • Maximum Liability: In no event shall Huggletee’s total aggregate liability to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action (whether in contract, tort, including but not limited to negligence, or otherwise) arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site exceed the amount paid by you to Huggletee for the specific product giving rise to the claim within the three (3) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Huggletee, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors, and Vendors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your violation of any rights of another party, including any Vendors or other Users.
  • Any content you submit, post, transmit, or make available through the Site.

Huggletee reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or any part of the Site and services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
